APS Vietnam 2026: The Procedure Depends on Your Applicant Group

APS at the German Embassy in Hanoi verifies Vietnamese academic credentials. It is not one identical process for every applicant: the steps, fee, and whether you take an interview or TestAS depend on your category.

• The standard undergraduate procedure is not merely document review; TestAS may form part of the procedure under APS instructions.
• The standard postgraduate procedure has academic interview periods in May and November.
• The postgraduate assessment is about 15 minutes of preparation plus a 15-minute interview and may be conducted in German or English.
• Published fees are US$150 for the standard undergraduate procedure and US$250 for the standard postgraduate procedure. Check the page for your exact category before paying.

For German university eligibility from Vietnam, one successfully completed university year typically supports admission to a Studienkolleg in the same field group; two successful years may support subject-restricted direct admission in the same or a related field.
