New on StudienA: 3D answer review for Engineering and a bigger Patterns module
Two of the most visual TestAS sections just got a serious upgrade: Engineering – "Ansichten erschließen" (reading views of technical objects) and Patterns – "Muster ergänzen".
🧊 The breakthrough: rotate the real 3D model in your answer review
Until now, spatial questions were explained with flat pictures. In the Engineering module, every question now carries the real 3D model it was rendered from. After you finish a test, open the review and press "View 3D model":
- Drag to rotate the part or the cable freely and look at it from any side.
- Snap to the exact views the question asks about: top (DS), front (VA) and side (SA) for 2D-view questions, or the six faces of the cube (front, right, left, top, bottom, back) for the cube questions.
- In the cube questions, both cable ends (E1 / E2) and all faces are labelled, so you can see why the answer is right instead of just being told.
- The model appears only in the review, never during the test, so it can't give the answer away.

Every mock test mixes both question types exactly like the real section: 13 questions where you pick the missing view of a part, and 13 questions where you work out from which side a cable in a transparent cube is seen.
✅ How we checked the quality
Generating questions is the easy part. Each question here was kept only if it passed our checks:
- The answer is unique: a wrong option is never the view of another solid that also fits the two given views.
- Wrong options differ in shape, not just in hard-to-see size.
- Cable questions need both ends and the path to be readable from both sides.
- We reviewed every question picture by picture and solved full exams blind to check the answer keys.

🧩 Patterns – "Muster ergänzen"
The Patterns module keeps growing as well. It now offers 10 full mock tests (22 questions each, two of them free) and 23 practice sets (10 questions each, six free), so you can train the pattern logic from first steps up to full exam length.
